The rumor was true.
After laying off 46 hourly workers this January, Cole's employer has now also let go of four salary employees. It was a company-wide decision; sadly, several plants had to let people go. Cole was not one of them... The announcement was made yesterday while he was in Red Oak, Iowa, for a class. We feel so fortunate to have our jobs... at least for now. What a tough experience.
Please pray for those who have lost their jobs - and that this economic stimulus package actually stimulates our economy!
I feel the same way! Carl and I say thanks in our morning prayers daily! It's so easy to looks at opportunities for growth as obstacles. Thanks for always being so optimistic :)
ReplyDeleteGlad Cole didn't get laid off! Where do you guys live? What are doing these days? I still live here in Winfield and work for the hospital. My husband is from Iowa so if the layoffs get to him (he works at GE) then we may move up there, who knows! My daughter is about to turn 1 in March!! Its so amazing to have a kiddo! My step-son Kaiden lives with his mom but we see him often. Any family plans coming up for you??
